15.03.2018 Sanoma Media Finland and Digita to deepen their television cooperation further by expanding the HbbTV offering

In March 2017, Sanoma Media Finland Oy and Digita Oy agreed on the distribution of the Nelonen Media TV channels in Digita’s terrestrial television network from 2017 onwards. In November 2017, the companies expanded their cooperation with the launch of the high-definition channel Nelonen HD in Digita’s UHF network on 1 November 2017. At the same time, it was also agreed to extend the offering of Nelonen Ruutu content for hybrid television. In addition, the companies have agreed on cooperation in the development of marketing.

14.03.2018 Digita offers its LoRAWAN network to almost 100 000 students in Finland

Digita provides its domestic LoRaWAN network for free use in educational institutions across Finland. Currently, almost 100,000 students in the cities of Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Tampere, Turku, Salo, Vaasa, Kouvola, Lappeenranta, Kokkola and in the Northern Savonia region have the opportunity to utilise LoRa technology in teaching.

16.01.2018 AlfaTV’s coverage area expands nationwide in Digita’s terrestrial television network from February onward

As of 7 December 2017, the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority has updated the regular programming licence for Brilliance Communications Oy to a licence for channels serving the public good. Channels serving the public good are distributed via Digita’s nationwide terrestrial television network multiplex A, which covers 99.96% of the population.
